The General Dynamics Security Operations Center (GDSOC) is seeking a Cybersecurity Threat Intelligence Analyst that possesses an intelligence analysis background with excellent oral and written communications skills. The successful candidate will be conducting independent research to identify cybersecurity threats; produce analytical products; and demonstrate excellent customer service characteristics. Formal training and/or experience in both fundamental and advanced Information Technology is desirable.
Primary responsibilities of the Cybersecurity Threat Intelligence Analyst include:
ï¿½ Compiling and analyzing cyber threat information and making recommendations based on suspected or known context in order to draw insights and conclusions regarding its relative threat to General Dynamics; its Business Units; intellectual and physical property; and personnel
ï¿½ Producing; editing; and distributing a variety of concise and actionable threat analysis and warning products in written and presentation form to an audience that spans a range of customers from senior company executives to security analysts
ï¿½ Conducting studies and making recommendations to identify cyber threats; threat vectors; threat actors; and threat trends
ï¿½ Identifying and developing threat signatures from all available sources
ï¿½ Maintaining threat indicators in the GDSOC threat intelligence platform
ï¿½ Implementing and supporting standard procedures for incident response
ï¿½ Interfacing with Business Unit Information System Security Officers and Incident Response Teams
ï¿½ Representing the GDSOC at internal and external threat intelligence and cybersecurity forums
Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline; or the equivalent combination of education; professional training or work experience.
2-5 years of related experience in data security administration.
Certification in network or OS technology implementation is desirable: MCSE; CCNA; etc.
Certification in information security is desirable: GCIA; GCIH; CEH; CISSP; SSCP; etc.
• Formal training and/or experience as a cybersecurity or intelligence analyst • Experience with network; computer; or Security Operation Center environments • Experience as an intelligence or threat analyst at the NCI-JTF; DC3; USCYBERCOM; NCCIC/USCERT; NSA/NTOC; IC-IRC or equivalent is highly desirable • Experience with standard operating and reporting procedures for the following is desirable: NCCIC/USCERT; US Government and/or DoD Computer Network Operations; DoD Computer Network Defense; or private sector equivalent • Excellent teamwork skills and ability to collaborate with a diverse team of skilled cybersecurity professionals
