Part-time on-call exercise support staff for CONUS and OCONUS Mission Command Training Program (MCTP) simulation command post exercises to train Brigade; Division and Corps Commanders and their staffs during Warfighter and Mission Rehearsal Exercises (WFX/MRX). Translates operational combat instructions for units assigned and inputs orders into simulation. Coordinates; synchronizes; and de-conflicts scenario storylines (training vignettes) with response cell and MCTP's Exercise Control Group. Monitor units assigned in the simulation status and role plays their activities to next higher command post. Ensures a seamless and accurate simulation exercise is presented to exercise unit(s). Responsible to maintain proficiency in various mission command systems; including CPOF; and Joint Land Component Constructive Training Capability (JLCCTC) simulations.
Bachelors Degree in a related technical or military discipline; or the equivalent combination of education; professional training; or work/military experience.
5-8 years of related experience supporting military operations.
• Six years U.S. military service as a Non-Commissioned; Warrant; or Commissioned Officer in Combat Arms; Combat Service Support and Service and Support;
• Thorough knowledge of Army Doctrine
• Must be able to travel OCONUS and CONUS by directed means.
• Must have or be able to obtain a DoD secret clearance.
Travel: Yes; 100 % of the Time Preferred Qualifications: • USA Command and General Staff Officer Course or equivalent Intermediate Level Education (ILE). • Two years• experience in design; planning; configuration; and conduct of large scale computer simulation exercises. • Recent experience in OIF; OEF; or OND in the field of Combat Arms (Armor; Cavalry; Infantry; Field Artillery; Air Defense; Combat Engineers; or Special Forces) or Combat Support (MI; MP; other) assignments overseas. • Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret level clearance
