Job Description |
In a support capacity to the Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR) Division of Children's Services (DCS):
ï¿½ Answers hot-line calls from Border Patrol; Department of Homeland Security; shelter facilities; advocates and others seeking immediate shelter or longer term placement decisions; or information for newly apprehended unaccompanied children;
ï¿½ Makes initial placement and determine type of placement (shelter; secure or staff secure);
ï¿½ Documents and refers to appropriate person(s);
ï¿½ Maintains files and other related records of cases and prepares shift report on any significant issues and number of calls; placements by facility; gender; etc.;
ï¿½ Transitions to and briefs next shift staffer on outstanding cases;
ï¿½ E-mails intake forms from shift and facilities where children are placed;
ï¿½ Responsible for input and verification of data;
ï¿½ Reviews source documents for accuracy of input data;
ï¿½ May be responsible for integrity of certain database information;
ï¿½ Investigates questionable data and takes corrective action when necessary;
ï¿½ Performs other administrative duties as needed
Requires AS/AA degree.
Requires 5-8 years experience.
Excellent verbal communication skills
Strong organizational skills and expert user of MS Excel
Excels in a fast pace; high volume environment
Position includes rotating shift work 24/7.
