Engineer for Aviation: Analysis and S/w skills
GDIT is currently seeking Electrical and Computer Engineers for its civil aviation programs. Positions require BS/MS Electrical/Electronics Engineering or BS/MS Computer Engineering.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: Candidates will work as part of GDIT's civil aviation programs supporting the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and Joint DOD/FAA aviation projects. As part of that team, the candidate will work on GPS/Satellite Navigation projects participating in analysis and testing. Position will work with avionics and systems data assessing functions and performance of GPS, and GPS avionics and complex aviation computer systems. Position involves analytical skills are part of processing and analyzing data, participating in a team that modifies software test tools, and conducting testing. Duties include working in a mostly Linux environment and modifying software and querying database objects (SQL). Activities include test and evaluation (T&E) of satellite navigation systems.
Candidate must have good verbal and written communication skills, necessary for technical reports, work well in both group and with individual assignments. Full-time positions are located at the FAA's William J. Hughes Technical Center in Southern New Jersey, at the Atlantic City International Airport. Duties will include, but not limited to:Researches, designs, develops and/or modifies enterprise-wide systems and/or applications software.
Bachelor's or Masters degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or Computer Engineering.

• Multiple software programming languages:
• Familiarity with GPS, Avionics, GPS Simulators
