About the role

Reporting to the Superintendent Maintenance, the Supervisor Maintenance will be responsible for leading and mentoring a crew of multi-skilled trade's to effectively execute planned and corrective maintenance work for the Coal Handling and Processing Plant (CHPP) and fixed infrastructure on site including but not limited to water and sewer treatment plants, minor civil works, buildings and ancillary equipment. In this role, you will be required to encourage, engage and empower your crew to challenge existing operating efficiencies and to drive business and process improvements across the department.

This role is based at Daunia Mine, Central Queensland, and is offered on a 7/7 day roster.

Key responsibilities
  • Coach and mentor the team to deliver preventative maintenance activities safely within budget and timeframes
  • Drive adherence to schedule and plan through 1SAP work management key metrics
  • Develop interdepartmental relationships to prioritise the timely execution of work based on condition of risk of equipment to prevent unplanned failures
  • Work collaboratively within the stakeholder group to identify improvement opportunities and implement initiatives
  • Ensure compliance with operating standards, procedures, work instructions, legislation and regulations
  • Work closely with the Maintenance leadership team to provide input to the development of the Maintenance strategy and budgets

About you

The successful candidate will have an electrical trade or engineering qualification and relevant experience with mining industry. Your demonstrated leadership skills coupled with your understanding of work management processes will ensure success in this role. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential, allowing you to build relationships across departments and to communicate with disciplines at all levels.
