We are looking for Project Planner to be based in Durban, South Africa

Your role

To establishes and updates the Detailed Project Schedule (DPS) in accordance with the DPS procedure, including leading the harmonization and integration of sub-schedules from all parties (functions, subdivisions) involved in the project. The Lead Planner needs to challenge all inputs from all parties. The Lead Planner regularly tracks and reports progress against the baseline schedule and continuously monitors risks and opportunities as well as proactively develops scenarios, mitigation or back-up plans required. The Lead Planner produces schedule-related KPI's as required by the project

Your responsibilities

1- updating the DPS based on common objectives within the project
2- Responsible for communicating the DPS, and changes thereto, to all parties involved in the project. Manage, with the support of all Project Core Team members, the effective communication to all parties of the DPS and updates thereto
3- Monitoring and reporting on schedule progress and deviations within all parties involved in the project
4- Responsible for regularly monitoring critical path(s) of the schedule to identify risks and opportunities and develop mitigation or recovery plans
5- Ensure that schedule implications of changes dealt with the Change Control Board are made visible and clear prior to decisions to being presented to the Change Control Board
6- Ensure that the Project Controller is regularly updated with any and all progress or delays to the DPS to secure that implications to the EAC are monitored.
7- Manage the resource loading and reporting of the DPS - provide input to commercial exercises as needed
8- Work closely with the team to collect updates to the schedule and use Primavera P6 tool to keep the record of the Project Progress and Performance. Update KPIs.

• Degree in Engineering with at least 5 years of experience in planning
• Experience in working with resource laded programs is a must.
• Strong Analytical thinking and problem solving skills
• Experience in P6 is necessary
