Job Summary: Represents the dealership in a safe and professional manner while performing on-site services. Properly uses all test equipment to analyze, evaluate, troubleshoot and execute repairs on all equipment. Performs standard work assignments and makes certain that time is charged to revenue jobs. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: (Other duties may be assigned) Recondition and repair all engines, transmission, tractors and industrial equipment assigned by the service manager;Diagnose trouble, plan methods and sequence of performing work required;Keep records required to establish cost of parts and service charges to the customer;Handle customer problems both objectively and tactfully;Maintenance and care of shop tools, equipment, and vehicles if required;Assist in directing work of helpers or on the job trainees and provide instructions as required;Maintain a clean work area and perform miscellaneous duties associated with the job;Majority of work will be in the field. Health and Safety: It is our expectation that all Nortrax Employees will conduct their work in a safe manner, abide by all Nortrax safety policies and report all hazardous conditions and unsafe work procedures. Working Conditions: Although much of time will be situated in an office/shop environment, occasional travel to other branches may be required. Position requires that the technician must be able to perform in a very independent manner with regard to scheduling his work and also, in conjunction with the sales department and the CSA, finding new sources of work. Minimum Skills and Qualifications: Heavy Equipment license preferred;Must have good driving record;Must be self motivated and work independently;A team player with the ability to communicate with personnel and customers when required.
