Help Desk Analyst (Toronto) New Signature is seeking an intellectually curious problem solver to join our internal support staff as a Help Desk Analyst. First and foremost, this position is about ensuring an incredible customer experience for the internal staff that we support. A customer-focused attitude with a drive to solve problems are the key qualities that will ensure success in this job. You will be responsible for first line support of our internal staff members which includes answering phones, responding to web-based requests, monitoring forums and then following up to ensure that problems are resolved and do not return. The role will also perform tasks to ensure reliability and enhance the services of the internal IT organization. There will be tasks that are assigned to be completed while not working on support requests. This position requires a foundation of technology expertise with a concentration in problem solving. Key Responsibilities• Opens service requests and captures appropriate level of detail• Responds to and resolves support requests, documenting the result and the steps taken• Escalates support requests which cannot be resolved by the associate or reach a defined SLA• Directs users to appropriate resources and ensures success of support requests that do not fall into the responsibility of the IT department• Maintains Active Directory• Processes New Hires and delivers basic IT orientation• Provides basic technical and functional support for applications, hardware and software• Communicates issues of increased severity through appropriate channels Experience / Skills• At least two years' customer support experience that includes problem solving issues that are reported by others• Proficient verbal and written communication skills• Ability to multi-task and adapt to a rapidly changing environment• Possess a sense of urgency and be able to prioritize work• Flexibility and reliability relative to work schedulesIn addition, a qualified applicant must be interested in building technical expertise and learning new concepts within the realm of the following technologies:Microsoft Cloud Services: Office 365, Windows Azure, and Windows IntuneWindows Desktop OS, including Windows 10Apple OSXMobile OSs, including Android, iOS and Windows MobileMicrosoft Windows ServerMicrosoft Exchange ServerMicrosoft Lync / Skype for BusinessExpertise in Active Directory and Windows PowerShellWindows Hyper-VStorage and networking.
