Operations Director Reports to: Designated Minister Office Hours: 0.6 FTE ROLE SUMMARY: A mission-driven, process-minded leader who helps others deliver results that reflect the mission and objectives of Grace ChurchPlays an advisory role in planning, scheduling and implementing ministry goalsManages the day-to-day business operations of Grace Church PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: Work with the ministers and staff so that all ministries thrive and are aligned with the mission and vision of Grace NA and maintain a positive working relationship with relevant Board of Managers committees and their conveners, including human resources, maintenance, use of facilities, security, parking and financeBe the primary liaison with Grace Church properties: church building, Grace House (Servants Anonymous residence), apartment building, parking NA and oversee the operations at Grace Church including facilities, IT, human resources, communications, administration, finance, and operationalize Leading with NA and manage non clergy staff: Accountant, Facilities Manager, Communications Coordinator, Office AdministratorNote: Office Administrator supervises Administrative AssistantFacilities Manager supervises facilities assistants and security personnelChair weekly staff meetingsEnsure completeness and integrity of Grace Presbyterian Church records. PRIMARY GOALS:Establish and monitor systems and processes that assist church staff in the effective execution of their day-to-day NA a culture of focus and accountability where each staff member understands his or her role, responsibilities, outcomes, and achieves them with NA consultation with the Board of Managers, oversee an annual administration and facilities budgeting process that reflects strategic priorities and ensures alignment throughout the year. Ensure organization-wide compliance with Leading with Care. QUALIFICATIONS: Five+ years experience and professional-level skills with people, business, and financial management in secular or non-secular workplacesExcellent organizational, leadership and administrative skillsAn understanding of and a willingness to participate and work effectively in a NA leadership with persuasive interpersonal skills adaptable to a variety of personalities and situationsStrong track record of creating and executing organizational strategies and building systems to support themDesire to improve continually and a passion to build the church and its ministry operationsLeading with Care compliantExperience within a faith based or other not-for-profit organization will be considered an asset EXPECTATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:Work collaboratively with the people and staff of Grace and extra-congregational individuals and organizations to achieve the vision, mission and objectives as determined by NA respectful of all members, adherents, volunteers and visitors to Grace NA the confidentiality of information at all NA the church office when away from the church due to illness or appointment or on church NA requests for time off and/or vacation to the Designated MinisterBe willing and able to adjust work schedule from time to time to suit church needs.
