Job SummaryThe A/P & Accounting Assistant is responsible for accounts payable processing and reconciliation as well as providing accounting and payroll support to our team to complete period, quarterly and annual objectives. Job Purpose Provide support for daily, weekly and periodic accounting functions. Provide accounts payable information for the organization by maintaining and reconciling vendor accounts. Provide financial information for the organization by reconciling bank accounts. Provide support to the Payroll & Administration Manager and the office team. Duties and ResponsibilitiesPrepare and process accounts payable invoices, cheques, wire transfers and ACH paymentsMonitor accounts to ensure payments are up to dateResolve invoice discrepanciesCorrespond with vendors and respond to inquiriesComplete vendor account reconciliationsUpdate vendor contact and address information for accuracy on a regular basisBank reconciliations and intercompany transaction reconciliationsAssist with processing payroll bi-weeklyPrepare GST, PST and NR tax return filings and paymentsPrepare WCB quarterly payroll reports and year-end reportsPrepare landlord sales reportsLiquor & business license renewalsCalculate franchise fees and report to Denver officeA/R; create and track invoices, apply to accountsSupport restaurant locations with bookkeeping programVarious ad hoc and special projectsSupport answering telephone Perform other duties as required QualificationsMinimum of 2 years accounts payable and accounting experiencePossess or working towards accounting diplomaGood understanding of accounting processes and proceduresProficient in Word, Excel, and Great PlainsProficient in data entry Other RequirementsExcellent interpersonal and communications skills (written and verbal)Ability to work independently and as part of a teamSelf-motivated, positive attitude and detail-orientedStrong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks to meet deadlines and work well under pressure in a fast-paced environmentWilling to work flexible hoursAbility to maintain confidentialityPayroll experience an assetMust be have Canadian Citizenship Send resume directly to NA or call Linda at NA
