The Information Technology group delivers and supports all technology initiatives for daily operations and strategic initiatives. The Program Manager will be responsible for the management of Project Managers and a Program comprised of several Information Technology project managers and projects respectively. You will be required to successfully manage all phases of the program by applying the PMI project management methodology, lead a multi-disciplinary team of IT and business professionals, and effectively communicate with all program stakeholders. The role requires a "player/coach" approach as certain projects will be managed by you and others by Project Managers, while you remain accountable for the overall program strategy and execution. You will be expected to contribute to the development of a PMO team that is innovative, proactive, collaborative and analytic that ensures that IT initiatives meet the needs of Business Stakeholders. In coordination with the Director, PMO, you will define and establish the PMO methodology for all projects delivered by the IT team taking into consideration new approaches, tools, metrics and emerging industry trends. Relationship Management - Establishes working relationships internally and externally to collaborate on issues; building networks with key contacts outside own area of expertise Customer Focus - Independently identifies and initiates activities to ensure and improve quality of client service Results Delivery - Resolves diverse and complex issues where analysis of data requires a comprehensive evaluation of variable factors Strives for Excellence - Provides advanced knowledge to broader team and/or the organization providing technical leadership in knowledge area Primary Responsibilities:Lead, mentor and coach PMO team members. Provide guidance and support to strengthen their ability to deliver. Maintain comprehensive knowledge of projects in PMO Portfolio, becoming more hands on with particular projects when the need for increased risk or issue management or PM mentorship is required. Ensure PMO team follows standards for deliverables and documentation in a consistent mannerSuccessfully delivering infrastructure, application and new product development projectsProduce project and program metrics, reports, data extracts, slide decks that are accurate, communicative and timelyManaging program schedule, budget, risks, issues, decisions and scope applying change control as NA project charters, plans, and NA project resources, allocating work activities, and managing the day-to-day activity NA all phases of the project lifecycle (initiation, planning, execution, control and closing) strongly integrated with the system development lifecycle (requirements gathering and signoff, system/ technical design, prototypes review, development, QA and User Acceptance testing, deployment to production)Providing timely project status reports and presenting progress to PMO and stakeholders, as well as data required for the monthly executive dashboard and budget review NA project work conforms to company project management methodology, standards, and NA input and assistance for the continuous improvement of the PMO. Qualifications:A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or Engineering or relevant experience. Masters degree strongly NA 3 years of people management experience or equivalent experience managing people on NA 5 years of Project/Program Management NA Project/Program Management with multiple parallel NA track record of teambuilding and relationship management (with both internal and external stakeholders).Experience in managing and negotiating with 3rd party NA Certification is highly valued but not mandatory if the candidate has a successful track record in the management of IT NA verbal, written and presentation NA MS Office, MS Project and Visio NA general understanding in the areas of application programming, database and system designAble to work in a fast-paced, matrix environment, and to adapt project methodology to projects of various size and scope/ complexity. Preference will be given to candidates with prior experience in a shared services NA work well in a team with both IT and business NA judgment, negotiation, problem solving and analytical NA to successfully manage multiple concurrent projects/tasks NA day to day project activities, including obtaining signoff on critical project NA functional, user acceptance and performance NA change requests throughout the life of the NA experience in stakeholders management and client relationship NA to communicate effectively with all stakeholders to ensure awareness of program/project status.
