Windows Support Analyst Essential Skills:
Windows Desktop - Windows XP, 7, 8.1, 10W. Microsoft`s Office Suite is essential, preferably 2013/2010/2007/2003. Experience of Microsoft Windows Server 2012/2008. Experience of Microsoft Exchange 2013/2010. Good knowledge of Group Policy Management, Active Directory & Software Deployment. Good understanding of PC hardware for fault finding. Cabling CAT 5/6.
Networking Standards TCP/IP. DHCP. DNS. NAS Storage including iSCSI. Ethernet Switches - Layer 2, Layer 3 etc. General Fault Resolution relating to Laptops, PC`s, Printers, Scanners & Fax Machines.
Windows Support Analyst to support & implement solutions to meet the on-going requirements & provide technical support for all Desktop & Windows Server infrastructure.
It is imperative that this individual successfully assists with the co-ordination & manage the following:
Desktop Administration. Installations. Server Backups. Helpdesk Management. Server Administration. DHCP & DNS Management. Group Policy Deployment. User Creation - Creation, Amendment, Deletion, Assignment. Folder Administration. Printer Definition & Assignment. Morning Checks. Application Security. Audit Reporting
Whilst the above is not exhaustive list of typical requirements you will be expected to assist with the following activities on a day to day basis.
Systems Performance Management. SLA`s for Windows System. Systems Security. User Audit Reviews. Group Security Compliance. Device Encryption
Windows Support Analyst Desirable Skills:
MCSA MOS. BAT, CMD files, powershell. Knowledge of Helpdesk Systems. Telephony Systems, Unified Communications, Call Loggers. Barcoding Scanners & Printers. Tablets. Smart Phones. VoIP. Video Conferencing. SQL any flavour. E.g. MS-SQL, mySQL, Oracle SQL etc. Unix/Linux Knowledge
