GIS Software Developer / GIS Technical Consultant.|
This role can be based out of our clients London, Epsom or Aldershot offices.
Our client is experiencing a period of sustained growth across various market sectors. They are primarily a projects based business, providing technical consultancy & solutions to the UK market (in the main) and are seeking the right individuals to join our growing team in the South East.
They require a GIS Technical Consultant / GIS Software Developer who will report to a Project Manager to provide support across the project lifecycle. Clients are normally based in the UK but flexibility to work abroad is essential.

The Requirements - GIS Software Developer / GIS Technical Consultant -
This role has a heavy development focus and therefore you will need to demonstrate knowledge and experience of GIS, software development, technical consultancy and the delivery of tasks to time, quality and cost objectives.
In addition you will:
Be degree qualified (min 2:1) or equivalent.
Have experience of providing GIS consultancy services.
Be able to demonstrate proficiency in the deployment and configuration of GIS tools, including but not limited to, ESRI ArcGIS Server and GeoServer.
Be proficient in the delivery of allocated project tasks, to quality, time and budget requirements.
You'll also be able to demonstrate the following:
Good problem solving skills.
Enthusiasm for emerging technologies and willingness to embrace new skill.;
Be able to contribute to other elements of the project lifecycle: i.e. software release, support and maintenance and documentation.
Good communicator in the English language, both written and verbal, and with colleagues and clients.
A drive to deliver, including evidence to support your "delivery focus" and "attention to detail"
Adaptability and flexibility
Ideally you will also have:
Experience in the analysis of faults and development of patches for existing deployed solutions
