The applicant will need to have 2 years book keeping experience, and ideally have experience of the construction industry. We use a cloud based software package called Xero, and again experience of this is ideal, although not essential.|
Main duties will include;
Checking invoices and entering onto Xero, allocating against correct job codes
Collating invoices for payment in line with agreed payment terms
Compiling monthly reports based on costs per job
Compiling and submitting monthly Construction Industry Scheme (CIS) reports, and maintaining accurate records.
Preparing sub-contractor payment certificates
Preparation of information for the accountant to produce quarterly management accounts
Balancing accounts by reconciling entries
Credit card reconciliation
Various other admin/accountancy based duties as required.
The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, and able to work on their own initiative, as well as being able to introduce new working practices as necessary. An organised and efficient approach to the role is vital, with a willingness to take on a variety of duties within the accounts and administration function
