Working on this most prestigious landmark project, you will be exposed to the very best career opportunites, as well as financial reward. We are currently looking for a construction biased workshop manager that has skills and experience in the following areas:

You will be from a construction biased maintenance fitting background(plant fitter, mixer truck fitter, batching plant fitter etc), where you will be managing a team of fitters and a supervisor that repair heavy plant machinery, mixer trucks, as well as the concrete batching plant equipment.

You will be good at maintenance planning, as well as offering excellent IT skills

Your team will be responsible for:

Responsible for the maintenance and repair of equipment in ready mix concrete batch plants at Hinkley Point, which would include plant machinery, mixer trucks, concrete batching plant equipment etc

Maximize plant availability through the use of efficient and preventative maintenance programs. Diagnose problems and perform mechanical repair and maintenance to stationary production machinery including but not limited to: batch plants, motors, conveyors, elevators and drives.

Inspect and report condition of machinery for items needing repair or service.

Rebuild or fabricate parts; repair electrical equipment.

Read and interpret technical manuals.

Coordinates ordering/purchasing of parts from approved vendors

Comply with all environmental, health, safety & training policies, procedures and requirements.

Experience as a mechanic in the construction/mining/concrete industry preferred.
