Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Assist Project Engineer in the design of structures in concrete, structural steel & wood.
  • Assist in the preparation of structural contract documents in REVIT and/or AutoCad.
  • Suggest or develop new approaches to production to improve quality.
  • Perform on site review of structural elements.
  • Professional Qualifications
  • Diploma in Civil/Structural Drafting or Civil Engineering Technology – courses in concrete, steel, wood design and drafting required
  • Experience in consulting firm preferred
  • 0-2 years’ experience with Revit and AutoCAD
  • Fast learner with a desire to grow professionally and personally
  • Team player with ability to work independently with minimum direction
  • Hard worker, ready to assume responsibility quickly, and have fun at the same time
  • Inquisitive, clear thinker who can determine what work is required and who can draw rational conclusions from information available
  • Demonstrated and effective communication skills
  • Ability to conceptualize structural behaviour in three dimensions and interpret drawings
