What you will do

We are currently looking for a DevOps Engineer to join our team in Brossard, QC .

The DevOpsEngineer will be in charge of defining Kantech’s DevOps strategy for CI/CDactivities. The DevOps engineer will be working with software development andtesting teams to define deployment requirements. The DevOps engineer willparticipate in sprint planning to define DevOps tasks. He will be in charge ofgathering performance metrics regarding the frequency of deployment, rate ofdeployment failure and recovery delay. This position would be for Kantechbrands group and reports to the director of Engineering.

How you will do it

PrimaryJob Responsibilities :

  • Analyze current technology utilized within the company and develop steps and processes to improve and expand upon them.
  • Train other engineers and testers on DevOps processes.
  • Provide detailed specifications for proposed solutions including materials, manpower and time necessary.
  • Collect and improve KPIs regarding CI/CD activities.
  • Work closely with engineering professionals within the company to maintain hardware and software needed for projects to be completed efficiently.
  • Work with Cyber security group to ensure that our CI/CD activities comply with cyber policies.
  • Be the point of contact of all DevOps activities.

  • What we look for

    Skills,Knowledge and Experience :

    ·BS degree in Computer Science,Information Systems or related discipline

    ·Three to five years’ experience as DevOpsEngineer.

  • Experience deploying engineering applications for a large corporation.
  • Up to date experience with best practices regarding Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD).
  • Possess strong scripting skills that can be leveraged to automate and improve systems.
  • Knowledge of at least one of the following: GitLab, GitHub, Teamcity, Jenkins.
  • ·Experience working with cloud servicesand platforms (Azure, AWS).

  • Experience in both Windows and Linux operating systems.
  • Experience with C/C++ build systemssuch as cmake, scons or equivalent.
  • Experience building and deployingJava applications using Maven, Ant, or equivalent.
  • Experience deploying web and mobileapplications.
  • Experience managing high-performanceand highly available production systems.
  • Excellent knowledge of AgileProcesses.
  • Experience in SAS and micro servicesarchitecture is an asset.
  • Demonstrated strong logical and technical problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to learn and quickly comprehend new concepts.
  • Demonstrated strong judgment and decision-making ability.
  • Experience overseeing (from a technical perspective) multiple projects.
  • Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
  • Bilingual French/English.
