The Role Entegris is looking for a hands-on EHS Specialist responsible for coordinating and managing all EHS activities at our Entegris DSC, Scarborough, ON facility. Our ideal EHS Specialist will look forward to managing multiple projects/tasks while assuring the day-to-day EHS functions at the site are properly maintained. In this role you will Work in community with all operations members. Participate in safety conversations and develop a competence in Safety My Voice. Is this a formal program you have? Proven hands on problem solving using best EHS practices Learn from the depth of experience your teammates provide Take ownership in developing and implementing process EHS improvement activities and our EHS Management System. Work with Operations leadership to develop and oversee site EHS training programs. Ensure site compliance with governmental regulations pertaining to EHS and handles all contact with appropriate agencies. Ensure required regulatory and internal performance metric reports are maintained. Oversee the management of hazardous waste and air pollution. Responsible for managing ESDM (Emission summary and dispersion model) and Environmental Compliance Approval regulations. With proper experience, acts as an Emergency Coordinator for the facility. Requires on-call coverage for facility alarms on a rotating schedule. Review new equipment, process changes and chemical changes for EHS impacts. Participate in Joint Health & Safety Committee and Safety Action Teams as well as collaborating with Global safety leadership to ensure Manage safety and incident reporting, investigation, tracking and corrective actions. Ensures appropriate corrective action is taken where environmental, health and safety hazards exist. Traits we believe make a strong candidate Bachelor's Degree in Environmental, Safety or Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical) and a minimum of 5 years’ experience in Chemical manufacturing. training and with proper experience, act as site emergency coordinator (Respirator Experience in assessing equipment and processes for safety including guarding, occupational exposures, electrical safety, PPE assessments, and lockout/tagout , and hazardous location classifications. Must be able to communicate (speak, read, and write) the English language effectively. Experience with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SAP computer applications. (Preferable) Hold a valid TDG license or have had previous TDG training and federal regulatory compliance, reporting, training and tracking.
