dating back almost 900 years, and has been at the forefront of medical progress and innovation since it was founded. The trust provides a full range of hospital services for local communities and - from April 2011 - has integrated community services in Lambeth and Southwark into the Trust.

Your new role

In this exciting new role, the candidate will be responsible for effective maintenance of the Trust's technical infrastructure. This will include responsibility for the effective implementation of the Hospital's Health & Safety policies and protocols.
The candidate will have the ability to organise and prioritise own workload where required and work unsupervised, independently and autonomously. They will carry out day to day maintenance of the electrical plant, carry out minor mechanical work such as connection/disconnection of belt drives, pulley and direct drive couplings. They will be using relevant instruments and machinery, without supervision.
They will be carrying out general repairs, as well as routine planned preventative maintenance.

What you'll need to succeed

The ideal candidate will have electrical qualifications (NVQ or City and Guilds) as well as plumbing experience. Previous experience working in a hospital or similar environment is desirable but not necessary.
A driver's licence is not necessary as this is a static role. Punctuality and reliability are key to succeeding in this job.
