An offshore career comes with plenty of benefits

Could you make the most of them all?

At BP, we’re involved in every aspect of the energy system. With 73,000 employees in 78 countries, we’re constantly working towards delivering heat, light and mobility to millions of people, every day.

Our Upstream business is responsible for powering the world, through activities such as oil and natural gas exploration, field development and production, midstream transportation, storage and processing. Here, some of the world’s best talent use industry-leading technology to find the energy reserves necessary to power the world in a safe and sustainable way. Why not join our team and play your part too?

About the opportunity

As a production technician at BP, you’ll be a core member of the Platform Operations Team in the North Sea Region. Reporting to the production supervisor, you’ll deliver the safe and efficient operation of platform process and utility systems. And ensure that health and safety are always at the highest priority.

The rewarding role also comes with significant benefits, including a great work-life balance, a competitive salary and plenty of opportunities to progress.

When joining us in these roles, you’ll be expected to work offshore, you will be working away from home for periods of time, though balanced with considerable periods of leave. Opportunities on this role exist on a number of offshore installations in the North Sea Region and transport will be provided, so you don’t need to be based in Aberdeen.

About you

You’ve got demonstrated experience in a trade discipline, and a minimum of an HNC in a relevant field. Alternatively, you have completed an Accredited Apprenticeship Programme. You love collaborating with others and coming up with great solutions as part of a multi-disciplined team.
