My client, a leading pharmaceutical company in Montreal area is looking for a Sr. Engineer who can be the lead in continuous improvement for their product packaging.

Description
The incumbent will act as liaison between the Packaging department and:
- The Engineering department for the conceptualization of some proposed improvements.
- The technical writing/training specialists to ensure that all documentation related to procedure follow-up and updates, as well as any required training are conducted.
- The Maintenance department concerning any issue related to the proper operation of Packaging equipment.

Key responsibilities:

- Propose durable improvements to the equipment with a view to increasing their operational performance in line with set objectives.
- Ability to improve and promptly resolve technical problems which may affect:
- Results regarding equipment HST.
- Finished product quality, compliance and GMP.
- Line productivity through a close follow-up of their operational performance.

Maintaining this improvement focus will be based on:

- Knowledge of the current status of the equipment.
- Defining and justifying necessary improvements using required resources (internal and external).
- Participating, with the Packaging Technical Supervisor, to the employees’ development in order to provide them with flexibility/knowledge.

Required skills:

Focus on achieving results in HST, Quality/Compliance and Line Performance through exemplary leadership.
Improve the packaging process in order to reach our objectives and increase autonomy.
Must possess solid HST, Compliance and Technical knowledge.
Flexible as needed


Qualifications

Bachelor - Industrial Engineering.

Bachelor - Mechanical Engineering.

Experience
Required

8+ years: years of experience in a continuous improvement position in the pharmaceutical or food field, preferably in packaging.
