Smart Lighting and Traffic Signals Project Engineer


The Smart Lighting and Traffic Signals Project Engineer will work in the Greater Montreal Area. Over the medium term, the incumbent will be responsible for mentoring a young and dynamic team and will oversee business development and the expansion of this expertise across Canada.

  • Take part in the preparation of offers of service and the financial management of projects;
  • Using specialized software, carry out technical analyses for various studies related to lighting and traffic signals;
  • Create conceptual drawings and design street lighting and traffic signal systems;
  • Prepare drawings and specifications related to lighting and traffic signals and street lighting system projects;
  • Coordinate a multidisciplinary work team;
  • Take part in the preparation of proposals within established deadlines;
  • Take part in the development of technical presentations for clients;
  • Prepare and validate cost estimates;
  • Conduct site visits and surveys;
  • Draft technical reports;
  • Supervise construction work and ensure quality and compliance with contractual requirements;
  • Working in collaboration with experts in the field, prepare reports related to the progress of the work and contribute to development of the action plan;
  • Make recommendations with respect to payment for completed work.
  • Profile

  • Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering or Civil Engineering or equivalent
  • Specialization in Transportation is an asset
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a member of the OIQ.
  • Mastery of AGI32 software is essential
  • Familiarity with the concepts of lighting, traffic signals and geometrical layouts for road networks, parking areas, loading zones, etc.;
  • Significant interest in coordinating projects;
  • Report writing skills;
  • Ability to coordinate multidisciplinary projects;
  • Proficiency in French and English (oral and written) is an asset.
