Your team’s mission:

We are looking for a Software Engineer to work with our Product, and Engineering teams to develop Flipp’s hosted retailer platform which powers the flyers on top retailer websites! This web-based platform allows retailers to customize and improve their shopping experience, while doing the heavy-lifting on the complexities of displaying rich digital content on the web. The Flipp platform supports multiple browsers and operating systems across desktop and mobile - and is focused on providing a high quality user-experience!

Developing, obviously (feature development, code reviews, bug fixes, etc.) Helping to define the technical and product roadmap within your team Design and architect testable, scalable solutions to complex problems, leveraging multiple interacting microservices Proactively identifying issues and driving best practices Mentoring and providing feedback for other team members

  • 2-5 years of web application development experience. It’s totally fine if you aren’t experienced with our particular frameworks or languages, as long as you’re willing to learn
  • Experience working in complex systems that require high availability and scalability, with particular mindset for reliability and security is nice to have.
  • Track record of shipping quality code and delivering high quality products - experience with an important system and new features on a system is helpful High growth expectations for yourself and your team, and a willingness to push yourself and your team to achieve them A willingness to share insights and mistakes and receive feedback A strong sense of empathy and awareness Can excel individually and collaboratively with a team An ability to process tough problems Strong communication skills to convey technical concepts and points to non-technical people Bachelor’s degree Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent
