Your new company

The National Offender Management Services are there to ensure people serve the sentences and orders handed out by courts, both in prisons and in the community. Within England and Wales, NOMS is responsible for the running of prison and probation services, are dedicated to the rehabilitation services for prisoners leaving prison, making sure support is available to stop people offending again and contract managing private sector prisons and services such as the Prisoner Escort Service and electronic tagging.

Your new role

Working Days: Monday to Friday
Working Hours: 40 hours per week
Holiday Entitlement: 33 days per annum

To manage the day to day operations with groups of prisoners & comply with all HMP processes with regards to the management and recording of prisoner activity. Ensuring that all Health and Safety standards are complied with and to ensure that all KPI's and production requirements are achieved and exceeded.


  • To ensure operational KPI's are met and exceeded
  • To reconcile stock levels within the Warehouse against delivery and pick of each item
  • Manage the delivery of accurate and timely dispatch of orders to offenders
  • Monitoring and reporting any security concerns to Security Manager (DHL/HMPS)
  • Manage the delivery of accurate and timely dispatch of orders to offenders
  • Inducting and training in line with the Learning Journals and Key Foundation
  • Compliance to all work instructions
  • Working in compliance to HMP rules and regulations
  • Ensuring compliance to all H&S RA's, SSoW and reporting / investigation
  • To look at projects / initiatives for continuous improvement
  • Local project management
  • Managing a group of Prisoners
  • Maintain training and induction packs for all staff members
  • Promoting and inducting offender workers on to the Key Academy and managing their performance accordingly

What you'll need to succeed

  • A minimum of 12 months of experience within Retail
  • Ability to grasp a good understanding of operational processes
  • Able to communicate at all levels
  • Can demonstrate the ability to manage their time effectively and work under their own initiative
  • Secondary Education
  • IT Literate to enable accurate and timely reporting
  • A full UK driving license
